Appointment to Green’s General Foods Pty Limited

The Boards of Guinness Peat Group (Australia) Pty Limited and CVC Limited are pleased to announce a new appointment to the Executive Team of Green’s General Foods Pty Limited (Green’s). Shane Noble has been appointed as Executive Chairman of Green’s, a new role, principally focused on leading the Strategic direction for the business as well as providing operational support for the Leadership Team.

Shane is a senior consumer goods executive with a breadth of experience covering the very competitive Snackfoods, Biscuit, Confectionary and Smallgoods categories. He has worked at the CEO or General Manager level for a number of leading Consumer Goods businesses including PepsiCo, Arnott's and Goodman Fielder and has a history of driving performance turnarounds.

Matthew Russell, Group General Manager will report to Shane, and the rest of the Leadership Team will continue to report to Matthew with a dotted line to Shane.

Green’s is a consumer foods business which was acquired by Guinness Peat Group (Australia) Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Guinness Peat Group plc (ASX: GPG) and CVC Limited (ASX: CVC) in February 2007. Shane’s appointment to Green’s reinforces our commitment to unlocking the inherent value within the business.
