DRILLING UNDERWAY AT MT SCOTCHY

Buka Gold is pleased to advise that the first reverse circulation drilling is underway on the company’s Mt Scotchy tenements, some 25 kms from Gympie.

Drilling commenced early last week and will target the initial 400m of the ‘Discovery Trend’ and a large combined geochemical (Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-As) and geophysical target approximately 350 metres E of the ‘Discovery Trend’. The initial discovery was first announced on 25 July 2007 when the average of 26 rock chip samples across the trend returned assays of 8g/t gold, 162g/t silver and 4% lead, with individual samples as high as 28g/t gold, 769g/t silver and 10% lead. Systematic channel sampling of 13 trenches to approximately 2m depth across the trend subsequently returned a best assay of 3.5m at 3.1g/t Au, 153g/t AG and 2.9% Pb with strongly anomalous As, Zn, Sb, Cu, and Cd.

The current program calls for approximately 12 holes to an average 120m depth. First assay results are anticipated around the third week of December.

Upon completion of the Mt Scotchy drilling the rig will move to the adjacent Woolooga tenement to complete a program of approximately 2,000 metres targeted at the Fig Tree Dam Au porphyry target and other high grade targets at the nearby Mulholland’s Breccia and Soel’s Find prospects.
