’ – Annual General Meeting Chairman s Address

In preparing for today’s meeting, I looked back at the AGM script for our 2020 meeting. What I realised is that many of the things I said then still ring true 12 months later.

We continue to live through unprecedented times with the global COVID 19 pandemic.

• This is having an impact on how we all live our lives, no matter where we live.

• Here in Melbourne things are only just starting to open up “again” after 100+ day’s lockdown.

• Many people are suffering with serious health consequences

• This has impacted individual’s personal economic circumstances and business alike.

All of these statements are true today.

Through the introduction of the COVID 19 vaccine program and despite circumstances changing around the world, with the southern hemisphere moving into summer months and the north hemisphere moving into winter (and the corresponding impact this is having on the number of new cases), I do believe we are starting to learn how to live with this virus. We have seen a significant economic rebound globally and international travel starting to open up.

Despite the negative impacts of Covid and the drilling result on Ironbark Cue has fared reasonably well compared to others in our industry. We have benefited from the diversity of our portfolio of assets, with both gas sold under fixed price contracts and oil sold spot. These diverse revenue streams have continued to contribute to our cash reserves over the last 12 months, which has enabled us to invest in new assets such as the Amadeus gas fields (alongside our largest shareholder New Zealand Oil & Gas) whilst continuing with our development program in Indonesia.

This brings me to what the future holds.
