Ad hoc-Service: CTS EVENTIM AG

Ad-hoc Mitteilung übermittelt durch die DGAP. Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— Ad hoc Bulletin Issued by: CTS EVENTIM AG CTS EVENTIM AG is taking over Argo Konzerte GmbH Concert agency with over 25 years’ experience / attractive pop, rock and classical program / DM 47 million annual turnover / further expansion of CTS’s leading market position Munich, 11th December, 2000. The CTS EVENTIM AG, a leading enterprise in the sale of tickets for concerts, theatrical and sportive events and organiser in the field of live entertainment (Marek Lieberberg, Peter Rieger, Semmel Concerts and Scorpio), is expanding its position on the market as a market leader. As the board of directors announced yesterday, the group is taking over a key shareholding of the company group, Argo Konzerte GmbH, in Würzburg. With approximately 300 annual events, Argo Konzerte counts amongst the most successful regional concert agencies in Germany. The three companies, Argo Konzerte GmbH Würzburg, Argo Konzerte GmbH Nürnberg and Argo Klassik GmbH for classical-music productions, belong to the enterprise. In 1999 the concert agency boasted a ticket volume of approx. 600,000 and with its 20 employees, it achieved a turnover of approx. DM 47 million. The program for the ARGO-Konzerte GmbH comprises the entire spectrum of music for the entertainment branch, i.e. from rock/pop (Sting, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, etc.), folk and pop (Kastelruther Spatzen, Musikantenstadl, Udo Jürgens, Karel Gott), musicals (e.g. Phantom der Oper (The Phantom of the Opera), Die Schöne & das Biest (Beauty and the Beast), West Side Story) and dance shows (e.g. Lord of the Dance, Stomp) to classical music (Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Anne-Sophie Mutter, etc.). The concert organiser, that has already been active in the branch for over 25 years, has specialised in the organisation of large-scale events such as open-air festivals and serial events. With “Rock im Park” (Nürnberg), ARGO- Konzerte has established the second largest rock festival in Germany and has, furthermore, participated for 15 years in organising the largest German open-air festival, “Rock am Ring” in the Eifel. For CTS EVENTIM AG, the acquisition of the Argo Konzerte GmbH is a further step towards expanding its position as a market leader. With this take-over, CTS is strengthening its presence in South Germany and in the new German Federal “Länder”. For the current year 2000, the board of directors is expecting a total turnover of DM 115 million.
