Ctac expects slight profit in first half of 2009

ICT service provider Ctac N.V. (Ctac) is expected to realise an operating result of around break even in the second quarter of 2009. Therefore, the net result over the first half of 2009 is expected to be slightly positive. In the first quarter of 2009 Ctac reached an operating (EBIT) margin of 4.5%. In the second quarter turnover and results were further pressured which found expression in a lower capacity utilisation and lower margin on projects.

Bart Hogendoorn, CEO of Ctac: "The market circumstances are challenging and I expect this to continue at least until the end of the year. Due to the current economic developments, we see that projects are more often delayed. Under these difficult circumstances, we are benifiting from our entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach and our solid specific sector expertise. Therefore, there is no need to change our strategy. In the second half of 2009 we will focus on further improvement of operational efficiency and the quality of our services."

During the first half year Ctac increased its operational strength through optimization of cooperation between the Ctac divisions. Much attention was given to resource planning and sales coordination. In addition, strong focus was put on working capital management and reduction of operating costs.

Ctac will continue to closely monitor developments at its operations and depending on the impact of the recession on demand the company will further adapt the organisation if necessary.

On 27 August 2009, Ctac will publish its half year results 2009.
