Ctac intends to cooperate with Alpha Belgium

SAP service provider Ctac has signed a letter of intent for the acquisition of 51% of the shares of Alpha Belgium. Via the in 2005 acquired Alphalogic B.V., (which focuses specifically on SAP SCM solutions for medium large to large companies in the Netherlands) Ctac came in contact with Alpha Belgium. With the majority interest in Alpha Belgium, Ctac will be able to service its Belgium clients better through its Powerhouse strategy. From the original Alpha Belgium structure a Powerhouse concept will be set up similar to the one in the Netherlands. Ctac will finance the takeover of the 51% stake from its own resources.

The combination will be active under the name of Ctac Belgium. Specialisms in the areas of SAP will be established and developed. The various business units in the Netherlands and Belgium will also be able to strengthen one another. At this moment, Alpha Belgium is active in three fields of expertise in Belgium namely: Alphalogic for SAP Supply Chain Management, Planning & Execution, Alpha Square for SAP Service Management and Customer Relationship Management, and Alpha Intelligence for Data warehousing, including SAP Business Intelligence.

The operational execution of hosting and technical management will be performed by the Dutch Ctac business unit Application Management & Improvement. Functional management will be executed by Ctac Belgium.

In 2005, Alpha Belgium achieved a profitable turnover of approximately EUR 600,000. At present, Alpha Belgium has 11 employees. Once the transaction has been successfully completed, activities will be consolidated from 1 January 2006. Ctac expects to be able to effectuate the cooperation within a few months.
