STANDARD LIFE PRIVATE EQUITY TRUST PLC

DECLARATION OF QUARTERLY DIVIDENDS

As noted in the Company's annual results announcement, the Board announces a proposed final dividend of 6.0 pence per ordinary share. The proposed final dividend will be payable to shareholders on 31 January 2018, subject to shareholder vote at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 25 January 2018. 

In addition to the above, as set out in the Chairman's Statement of the annual results, it is the Board's intention that going forward, quarterly dividends shall be payable in April, July, October and January.

It is the also currently the Board's intention that dividends of 3.1 pence per share shall be payable in April, July, October 2018 and January 2019. Cumulatively, this would be an increase from 12.0 pence in 2017, to a minimum of 12.4 pence per share, representing an uplift in the dividend of over 3%. The draft dividend timetable below sets out the proposed dividend dates for 2018:
