ANNOUNCEMENT

As at the date of this announcement, Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited (the " Company ") has entered into thermal coal sale contracts for the sale of 7,540,000 tonnes of thermal coal within Shandong Province for the year of 2013 (the " 2013 Provincial Thermal Coal Sale Contracts "), representing a reduction of 180,000 tonnes or 2.33% of the total thermal coal sales under the 2012 thermal coal sale contracts within Shandong Province. The average base price (tax inclusive) under the 2013 Provincial Thermal Coal Sale Contracts was RMB587.79 per tonne, which generally remained the same as the average base price (tax inclusive) under the 2012 thermal coal sale contracts within Shandong Province.
