CSL proposal to appoint Deloitte as external auditor from 2024 financial year
CSL Limited (ASX:CSL; USOTC:CSLLY) advises that it has completed a competitive tender process for the appointment of a new external auditor.
Subject to shareholder approval, Deloitte will be appointed from the 2024 financial year (beginning 1 July 2023).
EY is presently CSL’s external auditor and will undertake the audit of CSL for the 2022 and 2023 financial years.
Deloitte will commence planning for the transition of the audit commencing in 2022 ahead of their appointment in 2023, with the full co-operation of EY during the period.
Shareholder approval to confirm the appointment of Deloitte will be sought at CSL’s 2023 Annual General Meeting.
Bruce Brook, Chair of CSL’s Audit and Risk Management Committee, said: “On behalf of the CSL Board of Directors, I’d like to thank EY for their diligence and dedication over the years. EY has been CSL’s auditor since 2002 and have served CSL and its shareholders with distinction. The decision to change auditors is a matter of good governance considering EY’s tenure as CSL’s auditor. We now look forward to working with Deloitte.”
