RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 27th March 2013, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 114,127 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €15.0674 per Ordinary Share and at a price of £8.1694 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,586,889 Ordinary Shares in

Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 727,234,554.
