RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 18 th September 2013, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 40,395 Ordinary Shares at prices of €15.0674 and £13.13 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,353,768 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 729,478,840.
