RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 17 th October 2012, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 16,062 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.18 and €11.8573 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 7,894,653 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 722,656,621.
