RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 1 st March 2012 it transferred to the Trustees of an employee share participation scheme 47,813 Ordinary Shares at €15.79 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 8,612,560 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,285,346.
