RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 23 rd March 2011 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 3,049 Ordinary Shares at share prices between €11.18 and €15.0674 and at share prices of £10.0629 and £11.36 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,157,399 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,351,514.
