I give below details of changes in interests in the Ordinary shares of GlaxoSmithKline plc ("Ordinary shares") in respect of the under-mentioned Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility:-

Mr J R Stéphenne Exercise of option on 2 December 2011 over 90,000 Ordinary shares granted on 3 December 2002 under the GlaxoSmithKline Share Option Plan at a price of £11.79 per share. The sale of 90,000 Ordinary shares on 2 December 2011 at a price of £14.155 per share.

The Company and the above-mentioned person were advised of this transaction on 2 December 2011.
