Ad hoc-Service: CPU Softwarehouse AG
Ad-hoc announcement sent by DGAP. The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ad hoc report by CPU Softwarehouse AG Augsburg, 09.03.2000 NewsNet Media AG (CPU AG subsidiary): successful launch of Business-to-Business platform for radio stations. The e-commerce portal, radioclick.de, is the first online distributor to provide public and private stations in German-speaking regions with up-to-the-minute programme elements and reports. First customers are for example Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bayern 3). Radioclick.de begins with a comedy service. Sport, magazine programmes, news, business and finance will follow. CPU Softwarehouse AG, quoted on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, announces that: With their New Technology and Radio/TV divisions, NewsNet Media AG, a 32% subsidiary of CPU Softwarehouse AG, have developed the B-to-B platform, radioclick.de and thereby revolutionised the programme exchange between radio stations, authors and producers. With radioclick.de, authors, producers and radio stations throughout German-speaking regions can purchase and sell up-to-the-minute transmission elements, directly via the internet. The web replaces expensive and elaborate production transfer via satellite and point-to-point circuits. The turntables for the productions in mp3 format are the high-performance servers at NewsNet Media AG, in Munich and a 100mBit internet connection. The administration and management of all processes is carried out by the ICMS( (Integrated Content Management System), developed by NewsNet Media AG. Radio stations, producers and authors will profit greatly from the radioclick.de services. With radioclick.de , the “radio report” product, which is provided in transmittable format and in the highest possible technical quality, requires only a few minutes to travel from the author or producer to the transmission studio (on air). In the fast-moving medium of radio, this presents a significant competitive edge. A transfer process with traditional techniques and manual processing (offer, call-up, transfer and editing) has taken up to an hour, in the past. We then add to this the administration, for invoicing and payment collection. With its B-to-B full service, radioclick.de solves many problems. With it, radio stations always have a complete overview of all up-to-the-minute products, from a wide pool of professional authors, editors and correspondents – something which individual radio stations could not afford for themselves. In addition, a competent contact person is available for all products. The Radioclick system guarantees the stations the all so important transmission area exclusivity and all the benefits of the internet (evaluations, usage behaviour etc.). Authors and producers will now be able to concentrate fully on their creative performance and productions and, with the sophisticated sales system, radioclick.de., will be able to reach all German-speaking stations at the same time, thereby significantly increasing their real net output. The actual production location and time is no longer so significant. For the initial step, the radioclick.de target market is approx. 300 radio stations in German-speaking regions which, according to our estimates, transmit roughly 7200 reports on air. radioclick.de is a product of Radioclick GmbH (75% subsidiary of NewsNet Media AG) and is launching its service with “Comedy”, that all so important area for radio stations. In this segment, the Radioclick team will provide everything – from jokes, topically produced comical sketches to timeless comedy series. The sports, news, magazine programmes, business and finance segments will follow. The NewsNet Media AG directors, Roman Roell and Peter Valentino, announced further multimedia Business-to-Business projects for the internet. The NewsNet Media AG is planning a stock market flotation on the Neuer Markt, Frankfurt am Main.
