The Board of Countplus are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Philip Rix as an Executive Director of Countplus effective 1 April 2012.

Mr Rix is a Principal of Bentleys (WA), one of Countplus’ largest member firms based in Perth.

Mr Rix had 16 years’ experience working with Big 4 and second tier accounting firms prior to founding his own accounting practice in 1999. Since then, this practice has grown to 6 Directors and 32 staff with over $6 million in fees, is now a Member Firm of Countplus and the Western Australian franchise for the Bentleys group, a national network of accounting firms. In 2008 he was appointed to the National Board of the Bentleys Group, which represents 10 offices across Australia with 49 partners and over 300 staff.

He has also taken an active role in the education of the profession. He has been a lead lecturer for FINSIA in the subject of “Investment Valuation and Analysis” and sat on the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ State Education Committee (WA).

Mr Rix brings 30 years of experience working in the accounting profession, in both small and large practices and will provide a principal and operational perspective to the Board. He will continue to act as a principal for Countplus Member Firm, Bentleys (WA).

Following this appointment, the Countplus Board will have 6 Directors, 3 Non-Executive and 3 Executive Directors.
