Appointment of non-executive director

Following the successful completion of the Company's capital raise, the Board of Costain is pleased to announce the appointment of Bishoy Emad Azmy Gendi as a non-executive director of the Company.  The appointment is effective from the close of the Annual General Meeting on 19 June 2020.   Bishoy will also be a member of the Nomination Committee.

Bishoy is the CEO of ASGC Construction L.L.C ("ASGC"). He has been appointed pursuant to the relationship agreement between the Company and ASGC described in the Company's prospectus dated 7 May 2020 and, as a result, he will not be deemed to be an independent non-executive director.

Bishoy graduated from the American University in Cairo with a BSc in Construction Engineering. He also holds an EMBA from London Business School and a Masters degree in International Construction Management from the University of Bath.

Dr Paul Golby CBE, Chairman, said: "We are delighted that Bishoy is joining the Board. With his extensive commercial and sector background, he will bring very relevant experience and expertise to Costain, as we continue to implement our 'Leading Edge' strategy."
