Corero secures customer orders worth $1.0 million

Corero Network Security plc (AIM: CNS), the network security company, is pleased to announce a $0.6 million order for its 100Gbps SmartWall® Threat Defense System ("SmartWall") technology with a global cloud security company; and a $0.4 million expansion order for Corero's 10Gbps SmartWall technology from an existing customer. 

The $0.6 million new customer order consists of multiple SmartWall 100Gbps products with supporting SecureWatch® services for one year. It follows a successful proof-of-concept trial which recognised SmartWall as the technology best-placed to protect the customer's cloud security offering following its move to 100Gbps internet connectivity in its data centres, a move necessitated by its business needs. The $0.4 million existing customer order, which includes multiple SmartWall products with supporting SecureWatch® services for three years, forms part of this customer's ongoing global deployment of SmartWall.

Further orders are anticipated from both customers in the final quarter of 2018 as part of their ongoing expansion and SmartWall deployment plans.

The Corero SmartWall solution mitigates DDoS attacks in real-time, unlike many of its competitors which can take up to 20 minutes or more to detect and successfully defeat an attack.
