North American Tier 1 Internet Service Provider Contract Win

Corero Network Security plc (AIM: CNS), the AIM listed network security company, is pleased to announce its first order for the SmartWall® Threat Defense System ("SmartWall TDS") from a North American Tier 1 Internet Service Provider ("ISP") *.

This Tier 1 ISP order represents an initial buy of four SmartWall TDS' appliances for in-line real-time DDoS protection, with the prospect of significant follow on business in the next 12 to 18 months. The order was secured following a successful Proof of Concept process.

As previously announced, SmartWall TDS trials are being conducted by several of the top 10 US ISPs. The market will be updated with developments at the appropriate time.

* An ISP is an entity that provides (usually sells) access to the global Internet. Tier 1 ISPs are generally the largest Internet service providers in a particular geographic region that have access to the Internet via free and reciprocal peering agreements.
