Core appoints new Exploration Manager To drive discovery toward development
Core Exploration Ltd (ASX:CXO) is pleased to announce it has appointed Mr Colin Skidmore as the Company’s new Exploration Manager. Colin is an Adelaide-based geologist with extensive experience in a wide range of commodities and has a track record of taking exploration projects through to development. His primary role will be to drive Core’s recent discoveries and emerging prospects toward development.
Core considers that Mr Skidmore’s skills are an ideal fit to advance Core’s exploration projects and discoveries. In his previous role with Investigator Resources Ltd, Mr Skidmore was Project Manager of Investigator’s Paris silver project in South Australia taking the project through resource definition and regulatory approvals for feasibility. Prior to that, as Exploration Manager of PepinNini Minerals, he was responsible for establishing their South American subsidiaries targeting precious and base-metal epithermal-porphyry systems, exploration of their South Australian Musgrave Project; and overseeing the Crocker Well Uranium resource definition and feasibility study.
Colin was also previously the Vice-President for Geology and Exploration at TSX-listed Uranium One and the Chairman of Uranium One's Global Exploration Group actively participating in their exploration and development projects in Australia, South Africa, Canada, United States, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Mr Michael Schwarz moves to a non-executive Director role in July 2014. The Board acknowledges and thanks Michael for his expertise in the role as Exploration Director since the Company’s IPO in early 2011.
The Company has also extended Managing Director Stephen Biggins consulting services on similar terms for a further 2 years until July 2016.
