Press release CSM acquires full ownership of lactic acid plant in Blair (US)
date Diemen, the Netherlands, 20 July 2010
CSM has acquired the remaining 50% of the shares of the lactic acid production facility in Blair, Nebraska (US) from its joint venture partner Cargill. This production facility has been a joint venture between CSM's subsidiary Purac and Cargill since 1997. As the total output of the lactic acid plant was already fully dedicated to Purac, the transaction will not impact Purac's market position. The transaction will have a slightly positive effect on EBITA.
