Changes to the Board of Management

Corbion today announces that both Gerard Hoetmer and Koos Kramer will step-down and will hand over their responsibilities at the AGM on 12 May, 2014. The Supervisory Board nominates Tjerk de Ruiter as CEO, and Eddy van Rhede van der Kloot as CFO. Together with incoming CTO Sven Thormählen, they will constitute the Board of Management of Corbion with effect from 12 May 2014, subject to approval by shareholders.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board Rudy Markham said: "On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to welcome Tjerk and Eddy to the Board of Management of Corbion. Together with Sven Thormählen as CTO, they have the background and credentials to successfully lead Corbion through the next stage of its development as a biobased products company. I would also like to express our gratitude to both Gerard and Koos for their dedication and achievements as CEO and CFO since 2005 and 2006 respectively. Whilst setting out the strategic journey with investments in the biotechnology and the divestment of the bakery supplies activities, they showed strong and effective leadership to steer the company through the turbulent economic periods in recent years. In 2012, they announced the last step in the strategic path for the transformation of CSM into Corbion, and successfully delivered on that with the divestment of Bakery Supplies. All in all this last step, combined with building the new organization can be seen as a strong foundation for Corbion's future."

Corbion CEO Gerard Hoetmer added: "Over the past nine years, Corbion and its predecessor CSM have seen a massive change as it has transformed into a biobased products company. It has been Koos' and my privilege to lead this change. With the divestment of the Bakery Supplies completed and the new organization of Corbion in place, it is now time to hand over responsibilities to Tjerk, Eddy, and Sven. We both look forward to following the continued success of the company in the future. In the coming months we will work with Tjerk, Eddy and Sven to make the handover process as smooth as possible."
