On April 30, 2008, we were notified by Marsico Capital Management, LLC
('MCM'), Denver, Colorado 80202, USA, pursuant to secs. 21, 22 WpHG of the
following:

On April 29, 2008, the voting interests of MCM in Continental AG
('Continental'), located at Vahrenwalder Strasse 9, 30165 Hanover, Germany,
exceeded the threshold of 3% as set out in sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG, and
amounted to approximately 3.08% of the voting rights (i.e. 4.973,108 shares
with voting rights) out of 161,723,583 shares with voting rights
outstanding (according to Continental's website).

3,08% of the voting rights (4,973,108 shares with voting rights) are
attributable to MCM, on behalf of numerous clients, in accordance with sec.
22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6.
