On July 30, 2008 we were notified by Capital World Growth and Income Fund
Inc., Los Angeles, USA pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG of the following:

On 24 July 2008, the stake of Capital World Growth and Income Fund, Inc. in
the voting rights in Continental AG, Vahrenwalder Straße 9, 30165 Hannover,
fell below the threshold of 3%. On that date, Capital World Growth and
Income Fund, Inc. held 2.93% in relation to all voting rights in
Continental AG (voting rights arising from 4,745,290 ordinary shares
(Stammaktien)). Continental AG has issued ordinary shares only.
