On December 5, 2007 we were notified by Marsico Capital Management, 1200
17th Street, Suite 1600, Denver, Colorado 80202, USA pursuant to sections
21 and 22 WpHG of the following:

On November 30, 2007, the voting interest of Marsico Capital Management in
Continental AG, Vahrenwalder Straße 9, 30165 Hannover, exceeded the
threshold of 3%, as set out in sec.21 para.1 WpHG, and amounted to
approximately 3.03% of the voting rights (i.e. 4,893,299 shares with voting
rights) out of 161,712,083 shares with voting rights outstanding (according
to Continental's website).

3.03% of the voting rights (4,893,299 shares with voting rights) are
attributable to Marsico Capital Management, on behalf of numerous clients,
in accordance with sec.22 para.1 sent.1 no.6.
