CONNECTED IO SIGNS DISTRIBUTOR AGREEMENT FOR AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

HIGHLIGHTS

  • CIO commences distribution relationship with M2M Connectivity a leading supplier of M2M/IoT hardware

  • The opportunity is set to leverage deep M2M relationships with Cisco Meraki, and Telstra

  • Initial launch to focus on massive Failover/Business Continuity market opportunities

  • Creates a launch pad for the Company’s ambitions to scale its business into opportunities in the Asia – Pacific region

Connected IO Limited (“CIO” or “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into distribution agreement (“Agreement”) with M2M Connectivity (M2MC) to facilitate the sale of CIO product in both Australia and New Zealand. The agreement with M2MC aligns with the corporate channel strategy to rollout out CIO products in the Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions sector globally.

The M2M team will deliver solutions that leverage the global presence of Cisco Meraki with over 3 million devices deployed across 230,000 customers, where mission critical networks can’t afford downtime and disruption.

The first CIO product to be launched into Australia and New Zealand markets is the EM2000TAP-Cat 1 USB Modem. This USB modem is approved for sale in Australia and New Zealand and offers a secure and cost-effective solution for applications in Security/Surveillance, Digital Signage, Kiosks/POS/Vending and Energy Management. A Wi-Fi Cat 1 Router is to follow in Q2 2018.

Network downtime is a scenario that no enterprise wants to face, however with primary internet services providers offering only 99.5% availability – about 4 hours downtime monthly – the questions isn’t if your internet connectivity will go down, but when. According to Gartner[1] , every hour of downtime typically costs an organization $300,000 per hour. That’s why it is imperative to have a plan for business continuity in place.

The term of the Agreement is for 2 years and thereafter shall continue from year to year unless terminated by providing 180 days prior notice. The Agreement is non exclusive and is authorized for the regions of Australia and New Zealand.

“The new Connected IO EM2000T LTE Cat1 USB modem is a great addition to our portfolio, providing a high quality cost effective industrial grade USB modem for connecting remote assets. The EM2000T overcomes many of the issues M2M customers have seen using consumer USB dongles …..” said Daryl Chambers, Director of M2M Connectivity.

“M2M is at the forefront of a rapidly growing marketing for technology built on LTE cellular services; and their ability to reach into the local market is key to our success in the region“ said Jason Ferris, Executive Chairman at Connected IO Limited, “we are delighted to be partnered with the M2M team, and look forward to working with them to deliver solutions in key vertical markets”.
