Anders Nielsen

Anders Nielsen was born on December 18, 1962 in Sundbyberg, Sweden.

After his studies in Industrial Economy at the Linköping Institute of Technology, Anders Nielsen started his career with Scania AB in Sweden in 1987. In 1995 he took over the management of the gearbox production plant in Sibbhult, before becoming plant manager for cab production in Oskarshamn in 1997.

In 2002 he assumed the position of Technical Director of Scania Latin America, where he spent four years at the production plant in Brazil.

From 2006 to 2010 he headed Scania's chassis and cab production in Sweden as Senior Vice President.

He was appointed to the Board of Scania AB as Head of Production and Logistics in 2010.

From September 2012 to 31 March 2015, Anders Nielsen was the CEO of MAN Truck & Bus AG in Munich.

In 2015 he was appointed to the Board of Haldex AB. Since 1 of April 2015 he is a member of the senior leadership team of Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH, and he was responsible for the Business Development until April 6, 2016. On April 6 he took over the responsibilities as Chief Technology Officer with office in Södertälje, Sweden. The CTO office is responsible for the Research & Development activities across the Volkswagen Truck & Bus Group, currently consisting of the brands Scania, MAN and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and a minority stake in Navistar.
