Listing Date The shares of Sun East Technology (Holdings) Limited ("the Company") began to be traded on the Hong Kong Exchanges on 16 October 2000. 2. Basis of Presentation Pursuant to a reorganization scheme in preparation for the listing of the Company's shares on the Hong Kong Exchanges, the Company, on 18 September 2000, became the holding company of the companies now constituting the Group. The Unaudited Results have been prepared using the merger basis of accounting. Under this basis, the Company has been treated as the holding company of all the subsidiaries throughout the financial periods presented (rather than from the date of the reorganization). The comparative condensed consolidated balance sheet as at 31 March 2000 has also been prepared on the basis that the existing structure of the Group had been in place at that date.
