Dr. Markus Kerber has today advised the Board of Computershare Limited that he will not be standing for re-election at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held at 10.00am on 11 November 2009.
Dr. Kerber was last week appointed as the Head of the Planning Department in the German Treasury and as a result of that appointment has been asked to retire from Board positions with financial service companies. Dr. Kerber was due to retire by rotation at the AGM in accordance with the Company’s constitution and had offered himself for re-election. However, he has now withdrawn his offer and his retirement will be effective from the end of the AGM.
The Company’s Chairman, Mr Chris Morris, congratulated Dr. Kerber on his appointment and thanked him for his significant contribution to Computershare during his five years as a director.
