MARKET ANNOUNCEMENT
Melbourne - 14 March, 2003
UK EXECUTIVE UPDATE
Computershare Limited announces that Dr Iain Saville CBE will step down by mutual agreement from his role as Managing Director – Europe and Africa with effect from today.
lain joined Computershare early last year to lead the re-organisation of Computershare's European and African businesses and to provide strategic leadership in relation to new products.
The first part of this challenge has now been substantially achieved, however, the sustained market downturn has severely limited the prospects for product development. Accordingly, lain is leaving to pursue his interests in infrastructure and policy questions in European markets. Computershare thanks lain for his contribution and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.
lain will remain a director of Computershare Limited, in a non-executive capacity, so that his strategic views and insight into European markets remains available to the group. An external search for a new Managing Director-Europe and Africa has begun, and Computershare senior executives will fulfil the responsibilities of the role until that appointment is made.
