Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

The board of Gowings Retail Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Charleson as the company's Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

Chris is a chartered accountant and previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was involved with many listed companies and developed extensive experience in retail. Chris has worked all over the world including London where his clients included the department store, Selfridges.

Chris has the experience and abilities to significantly contribute to the implementation of the action plan that resulted from the recent company wide strategic review.

Michael Alscher will retire as Company Secretary with effect from today.
