Purchase of own shares

Compass Group PLC announces that on 5 February 2016 it purchased 25,000 ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each at a price of 1220.7491 pence per share through Barclays Capital Securities Limited.

Compass Group PLC intends to hold the purchased ordinary shares in treasury.

Following the above transaction, Compass Group PLC holds 12,579,935 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 1,644,197,447 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
