Purchase of own shares

Compass Group PLC announces that on 10 December 2015 it purchased 40,000 ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each at a price of 1128.3438 pence per share through Barclays Capital Securities Limited.

Compass Group PLC intends to hold the purchased ordinary shares in treasury.

Following the above transaction, Compass Group PLC holds 11,846,056 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 1,644,931,326 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
