COMPASS GROUP PLC

NOTIFICATION AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF TRANSACTIONS BY PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERSONS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 11 1/20 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares"):

On 8 February 2019, Mr John Bason, Non-Executive Director purchased 1,140 Shares in the Company at £17.50 per Share.

On 11 February 2019, Mrs Catherine Bason, a person closely associated to Mr John Bason, purchased 1,142 Shares in the Company at £17.475 per Share.

Following these purchases, Mr Bason's interests in Shares stands at 14,258 Shares, representing 0.0009% of the Company's issued share capital (excluding treasury shares).

The following notifications have been made to the Financial Conduct Authority in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation in respect of the above:
