NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 11 1/20 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 21 September 2017, Paul Walsh, Chairman, purchased 10,000 Shares in the Company at a price of 1571 pence each per Share. A technical error led to the delay in reporting the purchase to the Company until today.

Following this purchase, Paul Walsh and his connected person's shareholdings have increased to 35,395 Shares, representing 0.0022% of the Company's issued share capital (excluding treasury shares).
