Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 23 November 2016, Paul Walsh, Chairman, purchased 5,000 Shares in the Company at a price of 1337.00 pence each per Share.

Following this purchase, Paul Walsh and his connected person's shareholdings have increased to 26,411 Shares, representing 0.0016% of the Company's issued share capital.
