Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 22 September 2016, Mrs Ireena Vittal, Non-Executive Director purchased 1,863 Shares in the Company at a price of £14.909456 each per Share.

Following this purchase, Mrs Vittal's shareholding stands at 1,863 Shares, representing 0.00011% of the Company's issued share capital.
