NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following changes in the interests of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares"):

On 27 July 2016 Mr Ruiz Plaza, a PDMR and Managing Director of the Group's Latin American businesses, exercised an option which was granted in 2013 and which resulted in the acquisition and disposal of 9,529 Shares by way of net settlement. The option price of the 2013 award was 878 pence per Share and the Shares were sold at £14.732434 per Share.

Following this exercise, Mr Ruiz Plaza's shareholding remains unaltered at 64,746 Shares representing 0.0005799% of the Company's issued share capital.
