Directorate Change

Further to the announcement yesterday that Sir James Crosby has stepped down as a Director of Compass Group PLC ("Compass" or "the Company"), Compass today announces that Sir Ian Robinson will become Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee with immediate effect. Sir Ian has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since December 2006.

Sir Roy Gardner, Chairman, said "Ian brings a wealth of experience to the Compass Board and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role."
