Disposal of the Fort Fun park in Germany

Paris, 26 April 2017 – Compagnie des Alpes announces the disposal of the Fort Fun amusement park (Germany) to Looping Group, operator of 12 sites across Europe (amusement parks, water parks, wildlife parks and aquariums), owned by Ergon Capital Partners III S.A. The operation is subject to the prior approval of the German competition authorities.

The transaction values the business at €7 million and will be settled in cash. Fort Fun generated revenue of €5.9 million in the 2015/2016 fiscal year, gross operating profit of approximately 1.5% of that of the BU "Leisure Destinations" and welcomed more than 265,000 visitors.

The sale will have an immaterial impact on the income statement over the full year, as interim losses (recognised at the beginning of the season when the park makes little revenue) will be offset by the capital gain on disposal.

The sale of Fort Fun is consistent with the strategy, announced at the end of 2013, to refocus the scope of the Group's sites on those with the ability to boost their reputation from regional to national, if not international, and able to reach the Very High Customer Satisfaction.
