On July 24, 2024, Community Health Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) announced operating results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024. A copy of the press release making this announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference into this Item 2.02.

The press release referred to in Item 2.02 above also includes the Company’s 2024 updated annual earnings guidance. This 2024 guidance is based on the Company’s historical operating performance, current trends and other assumptions the Company believes are reasonable at this time as set forth on pages 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 of the press release.
