Appointment of Director

Comms Group Limited (ASX:CCG) (Comms Group or the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Picton as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Picton has over 30 years’ experience in the technology industry having held senior positions in both British Telecom (BT) and AAPT. Whilst at BT he was a Senior Executive within their international operations and held several business development positions in Asia Pacific. At AAPT, he served as Director of Marketing & Strategic Development and held multiple other Director roles in its subsidiaries such as Connect.com & Cellular One.

In January 2000 he founded GoTalk which over 10 years grew to become the largest prepaid communications company in Australia & New Zealand.

In 2011 he founded FuzeNet and LBNCo providing competitive fibre solutions and consumer internet services which were acquired by the then ASX listed Uniti Group for over $110 million.

Mr Picton holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology and a Master of Business from London Business School (LBS) is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Member of The Institute of Company Directors. He is also a Sloan Fellow which was awarded to him in 1993 by the Sloan Foundation as part of the joint MIT, Stanford and LBS universities programme. He is currently engaged on a programme at LBS exploring the application of AI in business.

He has been a board Director of over 20 companies and is currently on the board of ASX listed Echo IQ Ltd (ASX: EIQ) an AI technology company focussed on the medical sector .

In addition to his appointment, Mr Picton will invest in 10 million shares at 5c per share (total $500k investment) at an issue price of 5 cents per share being approximate to the prevailing share price based on the 20-day volume weighted average share price (VWAP) and also the same price per share for the Company’s recent capital raise.

The investment will be subject to shareholder approval at the AGM in November however to lock in the price Mr Picton will provide the full subscription amount now. This subscription amount will be refunded in the unforeseen event that shareholders do not approve the issuing of the shares.
