CommsChoice CEO to step down. Appointment of Peter McGrath as Interim CEO
CommsChoice Group Limited (ASX: CCG) announces that Ben Gilbert has advised the Board of his intention to leave the company, citing the burden of travel commitment on his young family.
Ben Gilbert has been Chief Executive Officer of CommsChoice Group Limited since January 2017. He will step down from the company immediately.
CommsChoice Chairman John MacKay paid tribute to Mr Gilbert. “Ben has been an integral member of the executive team that IPO’d the business in December 2017, oversaw the successful integration of the five businesses that came together to form CommsChoice and navigated the company into its second year of operation. On behalf of everyone at CommsChoice, I thank Ben and wish him well in his future endeavours”.
The board has appointed Non-Executive Director Peter McGrath into the position of interim Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Peter has extensive experience in the telco sector with over 15 years in senior leadership positions. He was Group CEO of Nextgen Group which included Nextgen Networks and Metronode and MD Visionstream for 8 years. Under Peter’s leadership, the businesses all grew to become leading players in the Australian marketplace. Prior to this, Peter was CEO of publicly listed Uecomm Ltd where he oversaw significant growth in revenue and earnings and the eventual acquisition of this business.
