Martin Blessing new Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Dresdner
Bank

At its meeting today the Supervisory Board of Dresdner Bank appointed
Martin Blessing, the Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of
Commerzbank, with immediate effect as the Chairman of the Board of Managing
Directors of Dresdner Bank. Furthermore and also as of today, Markus Beumer
and Achim Kassow, both members of Commerzbank’s Board of Managing
Directors, were appointed members of the Board of Managing Directors of
Dresdner Bank. Markus Beumer will be responsible for the corporate client
activities of Dresdner Bank – as he is at Commerzbank – whilst similarly
Achim Kassow will head the private client unit.

Martin Blessing, Markus Beumer and Achim Kassow will continue to be members
of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank and retain their current
functions. Their mandates on the Board of Managing Directors of Dresdner
Bank will end with the merger of Dresdner Bank with Commerzbank, which is
to take place in spring 2009.

Herbert Walter, to date the Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of
Dresdner Bank, and Andreas Georgi today left the Board of Managing
Directors of Dresdner Bank. Andree Moschner and Friedrich Wöbking will
leave the board upon the spin-off of Allianz Banking from Dresdner Bank.
Klaus Rosenfeld will leave the Board of Managing Directors with the
approval of the 2008 annual financial statements, at the latest as of March
31, 2009.
