Comet Ridge Limited TRADING HALT

The securities of Comet Ridge Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 9 August 2012.

COMET RIDGE LIMITED – REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1 Comet Ridge Limited (ASX:COI) requests that ASX grant a trading halt of its securities with immediate effect, from prior to commencement of trading Tuesday 7 August 2012, pending an announcement to the market.

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1 Comet Ridge provides the following information

• a) The Trading halt is necessary as Comet Ridge expects to make an announcement to the market in relation to a capital raising involving retail and institutional investors;

• b) Comet Ridge requests that the trading halt continue until the earlier of:

  • i. The commencement of normal trading on the ASX on Thursday 9 August 2012; and

  • ii. The release of an announcement to the market concerning the results of the capital raising.

• c) Comet Ridge is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or of any other information to inform the market about the trading halt.
