Appointment of CFO

Comet Ridge Limited (ASX:COI) is very pleased to advise that Mr Robin Polson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Company, commencing from Monday 10 November 2025.

Mr Polson is an experienced accountant and seasoned corporate finance professional with well over three decades experience. After gaining a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand, Mr Polson commenced his career as an auditor in Johannesburg in 1987.

Along his career path he spent six years in finance roles in The Netherlands and three years as an investment banker in South Africa, before moving to Australia in 2001 where he gained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, initially joining PWC and later Deloitte as a Corporate Finance Partner for 15 years.

Mr Polson then moved across to the ASX listed natural gas space, where has held both Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Financial Officer roles over the past decade.

Comet Ridge Managing Director, Mr Tor McCaul, said: “I and several members of the Board have had separate dealings with Robin now over a number of years including in his roles in a corporate finance capacity. Along with this deep corporate finance knowledge, Robin brings to Comet Ridge a very solid gas marketing and funding background for natural gas projects. Comet Ridge will benefit from his experience, and fresh energy as we continue to progress through the Mahalo JV gas project FEED and close in on a final investment decision for the project, delivering much needed natural gas into the east coast market.”

Our exploration assets include a large position in the Galilee Basin and offer further upside amid increasing domestic and international demand for natural gas as a source for cleaner energy and as a key manufacturing feedstock that makes thousands of products, used daily.

Comet Ridge plans to transition its Mahalo Gas Hub assets into meaningful gas supply into the east coast gas market. The initial development of the Mahalo JV Gas Project and the Mahalo North block can be further supplemented by sequential development of gas resources from Comet Ridge’s other 100% held permits, Mahalo East, Mahalo Far East and Mahalo Far East Extension.
