Columbus acquires leading Danish cloud and hosting company
Today, Columbus A/S has concluded an agreement about acquisition of SYSTEMHOSTING, a leading Danish consultancy within cloud, hosting and ERP managed services. The acquisition strengthens Columbus' portfolio and position in the growing market for cloud solutions.
The acquisition of SYSTEMHOSTING is in line with Columbus' strategy to strengthen the company's portfolio and hereby strengthen its global position as an innovative solution provider.
"SYSTEMHOSTING offers a range of strong cloud solutions, which in combination with Columbus' solutions and industry knowledge means that we can be an even stronger partner for customers in the digital transformation of their business," says Thomas Honoré, CEO & President, Columbus.
Since SYSTEMHOSTING was founded in 2001, the company has increased its market share and currently has more than 300 customers. SYSTEMHOSTING has 29 employees, and in fiscal year 2014/2015 SYSTEMHOSTING had a revenue of DKK 33.3m and earnings of DKK 3.6m.
The management in SYSTEMHOSTING will continue, and the company will continue to operate under the same name.
The acquisition price is not disclosed.
The acquisition is financed by Columbus' own available funds.
At the time of closing, the booked equity in the acquired companies amount to approx. DKK 3.1m.
The acquisition is expected to contribute with a revenue in the level of DKK 32m and EBITDA in the level of DKK 5m in the remaining 11 months of the year.
Expectations to revenue and EBITDA for the Group in 2016 will be announced when the Annual Report is published on 17 March 2016.
The acquisition takes place with immediate effect.
