Colas acquires road construction activities from the Conalvias Construcciones Group in Peru

Colas signed an agreement to acquire the Peruvian construction activities of the Colombian group Conalvias Construcciones S.A.

The activities mainly comprise mining infrastructure work for international mining companies as well as medium-and long-term road maintenance contracts.

With revenue totaling 65 million euros in 2017 and more than 700 employees, the business will be operated by Colas under the name of Colvias.

The acquisition is part of Colas' strategy aiming to gain footholds in targeted countries in South America. The Group is already present in Chile and Peru through Colas Rail, Dust-A-Side and Smac.
