AIK – Update on merger discussions with Riverwise.

We note that on 7 March 2012, Armidale Investment Company Limited (AIK) advised that it was having preliminary confidential merger discussions with Riverwise Pty Ltd (RPL), which owns 100% of Leading Edge Group Ltd.

AIK reiterates that it will advise should the current preliminary and confidential discussions lead to any definitive agreement. Any transaction will be subject to satisfactory due diligence enquires by AIK of RPL and any shareholder approvals required.

AIK also wishes to advise that Andrew Grant, executive director of AIK, and Raylee Carruthers, CFO of Hal Data Services Pty Ltd (HDS), have been appointed to manage the Leading Edge Group. Their roles with AIK and HDS remain unchanged. Andrew’s appointment forms part of his ongoing AIK executive duties and is consistent with AIK’s approach as a hands on investor. These appointments will assist AIK in its due diligence enquiries of RPL and do not in any way mean that a transaction will occur.
